With more than a decade of experience guiding everyone from first-timers to seasoned outdoor professionals through Arctic environments, Sampo offers a rare blend of traditional wilderness skills, deep knowledge of northern nature with his background as a long-range reconnaissance patrol leader in the Finnish Army Special Forces. This gives him a foundation of discipline, precision, and nature awareness. Arctic Survival Training Finland was founded from Sampo’s vision to bring his multidisciplinary Arctic expertise together and place it at the direct service of clients operating in demanding northern environments.

Mika is a highly regarded instructor with a strong background in Antarctic logistics management, expedition leadership, and survival expertise.
